|Pattern Description: Retro style overalls with buttoned straps, front zip, pockets and decorative topstitching|
Pattern Sizing: 86-122
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes!
Were the instructions easy to follow? They were typical for Ottobre, so clear and understandable, but concise and without diagrams. The facing/zipper attachment had my initially a little bum fuzzled, but I just followed the instructions and it came out fine. I took a photo at the critical juncture, so if you are having trouble with that part, you can see the picture here.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love the fun retro styling!! The center front zipper is my favorite feature. I'm not usually a fan of a centered zip, but this one makes the design so fun. Attaching the facings by machine is so lovely once I figured it out, so I'm glad I sewed these, just to have learned that technique. It was a bonus that they are cute and look good on my kiddo.
Fabric Used: Stretch cotton twill
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: None. I may have hemmed them a little shorter, but no alterations were needed to the pattern. The legs do have a somewhat slim cut, so take that into account if needed.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? It's a pretty distinct style, so I may not make another pair for Duncan, but the size range covers all three of my kids at the moment, so I'm sure I'll sew it again. I highly recommend it!
Conclusion: This is such a fun style that you definitely won't find in a store, but which totally looks professionally made. Love them!
