Pattern Sizing:I made a size 4 based on my measurements and the fact that I wanted more ease than intended.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Well, I made some changes, but it's close!
Were the instructions easy to follow? They were fine. They weren't super detailed, but they had just enough!
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?I loved the collar and the shaped darts. I don't like the neck facing, which is a little bulky and doesn't behave. There are many layers in that seam, and I had to clip it down to nothing to get it to lie flat.
Fabric Used:Rayon challis for the body, poplin for the collar.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: The most obvious change is that I lengthened it by 4 inches. I have a long torso, and I could tell it wouldn't work for me. I added length at the hem because I didn't want to lower the waist. I also redrafted the sleeves to be full at the bottom (essentially I turned the pattern piece into an A shape. I used elastic at the bottom rather than cuffs.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?Yes to both - I really love it!
Pretty top!
