Pattern Description:
DIAPER BAG, CHANGING PAD AND PACIFIER CASE: Package includes patterns and instructions for changing pad A: 18" × 30", contrast front. Pacifier case B: 21/2" × 3", selflined. Diaper bags C, D: 16" × 12", excluding straps, lined. D: contrast straps and ties. Measurements are approximate and exclude straps. Pattern Sizing:
One Size Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes , I added elastic to the side pockets Were the instructions easy to follow?
Very easy , the zipper was confusing but didn't take long to figure out. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? That it calls for cardboard for the base , I found Peltex Fabric Stabilizer to work just fine so it is machine washable also I used craft fuse interfacing for the bag and it holds its shape fairly well.
Fabric Used:
Pink Camo canvas , and Quilting Cotton for the lining
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Just added elastic to the side pockets
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I love this pattern , I have made about 5 bags from this pattern for friends and family.
Conclusion:
I have been sewing these on my vintage sewing machines , I'm not sure how they would fair with a modern machine . There are bits that are pretty thick to sew even with my sewing machines so I would do a swatch test and see if your machine can handle the thick fabric. All in all a very good pattern to have handy. |
