Pattern Description: Unlined, pull on, close fitting knit dress.

Pattern Sizing: A5 (6-8-10-12-14)

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes it did. I made view C.

Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes the instructions were clear.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I dislike the neckline and arm hole finishes. I find narrow hems on knit fabrics very difficult to sew without stretching them out of shape. Also, my machine does not like to sew lightweight knit fabrics...skips stitches and looks messy. I used a Schmetz jersey needle size 70/10. This doesn't seam to help much.

Fabric Used: I used a poly knit purchased from Spotlight.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I cut a size 14 based on the finished measurements and I didn't want it to be too clingy, but this was huge. I had to take in the shoulder seams and the side seams. I should have made the size 12.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I don't think I will sew this one again. I don't like the way it looks on me...too many lumps and bumps showing. May look great on a slimmer and firmer figure. I might try the tie front jacket that is also included in this pattern.

Conclusion: Very simple dress but doesn't suit my figure.

I don't remember having the fit issues that you had -- but every body is different. Sorry you are pleased -- but I think it looks good on you. 12/1/12 9:26 AM
