Pattern Description:
Designer close fitting dress Pattern Sizing:
Size 14-20 - started with a size 20 Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Since I changed this into a top, it resembles the pattern cover. Were the instructions easy to follow?
This is my tenth time using this pattern, I don't even check the instructions anymore. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
The drape of the neckline, the capped sleeves, the fit through my abdomen...it is just a wonderful pattern. No dislikes at all! Fabric Used:
Rayon ITY jersey from Emmaonesock Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
After all of the other versions made there were no changes made to my already altered pattern pieces which can be read about in this review. I did, however, make new pattern pieces for the top. I added a hemline 9" from the waistline curve on the front piece, then traced the top of the dress piece out. I placed the back top and skirt piece together, then traced the back as one piece straightening out the curved hemline. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Oh yes, I definitely plan on making a couple more tops from my newly altered dress pieces. Conclusion:
I love this pattern. I currently have 8 dresses from this pattern in my summer wardrobe. Now that I've altered the pattern to make tops I will definitely make more. If you've made this dress, I highly recommend that you alter the pattern to make some wonderful new tops.
The journey for this top can be found on my blog here or in my flickr album. |
