Fitted dress with retro collar and cuffs. I made view C which includes side pleats
Pattern Sizing:
4-16 - I made a 4
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes - good, clear, concise instructions
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like the retro feel of this pattern and the close fit. However there were a lot of pattern pieces in one pattern envelope and it took a little while to find the right bits!
I like the side pleats - very on trend right now and quite a flattering look.
Fabric Used:
Double knit jersey - what a dream. I LOVE this fabric - it is comfortable but also holds you in nicely! The photo was taken after a day at work so you can see how well the fabric behaves.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I skipped the interfacing on the neck line and used bias binding instead as I didn't want too much bulk up there. I also omitted the zipper - my fabric was stretchy enough that I didn't need one.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I probably will make another version as I'm so happy with this one.
Conclusion:
Great dress pattern with several variations. I would particularly recommend making it with a double knit - a dream to sew and a nice finish.
