Pattern Description: Misses shift dress

Pattern Sizing: Sizes 10 - 22

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes

Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, very easy.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? The shape and simplicity of the pattern

Fabric Used: Light weight cotton. Mainly as a test item.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I made the size 12 which is usually pretty good for me with most patterns but I found this one way too big from the waist up and especially the neck line which poofed out. I decided to run a small gathering line at front of neck which hasn't turned out too bad. I had to take in 2cm on each side at under arms and taper to waist. I also added length at the waist as I always find patterns a little too short for me in this area. I lengthened it to finish at mid knee also.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes I will sew it again and have one cut out and waiting. I have cut the 10 for the top and tapered to a 12 from waist through hip. Yes I would recommend the pattern. It is a very simple pattern and easy. So a good pattern for whipping up quickly and some different treatments to change the look.

Conclusion: Quick and easy although I do find New Look patterns just don't seem to be my fit.
