Pattern Description:
"A fun and secure place to put your tooth before ou put it under your pillow. The Tooth Fairy loves the help!"
This is part of the Art To Heart: Curiosities and Mischief book of quilts, pillows, and other fun accesories for kids rooms. They have a fairy tooth fairy pillow and the monster one. I made 4 monster pillows.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Absolutely - except mine is a mirror image due to how I cut the pattern out. It's still a noobie mistake that I make. But in this case it doesn't matter as it's cute either way!
Were the instructions easy to follow?
The instructions are very simple to follow. It's basically a small pillow with a pocket for the tooth with the eyes appliqued on.
Fabric Used:
Flannel fabric in the "Curiosities and Mischief" line of fabric by Nancy Halvorsen for Benartex Fabrics (She also put out the book). I really liked how the finished pillow looked, so I bought the fabrics that went with it.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
If I have other kiddos that might be losing teeth soon, I certainly wouldn't hesitate to sew this up again. (Although my son is only 2 I just couldn't resist!)
Conclusion:
Overall, it's a fun, fast project and the perfect gift for the kids that are starting to lose their baby teeth. You only need a few fat quarters of coordinating fabric and a short afternoon of sewing and it's done. I made 4 - one for my son, and the others as christmas gifts.
those are adorable! Great job and I love the fabric too :)
