Pattern Description: Wrap front dress has soft pleats, side tie, and sleeve variations. Dress B has collar.
Pattern Sizing: 10
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, but with less skirt sweep.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Very easy!
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love the look of wrap dresses, but not crazy about how the wind likes to blow my dress open :/
Fabric Used: A lightweight knit of some sort, from my local Fabricville. I think it has polyester in it?? I need to start taking note of what the fabric content for these reviews I wish this fabric was a bit more "stable". I find it a little too lightweight. Very cool print though
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I probably should've made a size 8. Will pay more attention to the flat pattern measurements from now on...
I bound the neckline and topstitched with a twin needle (as once of my RTW wrap dresses has) instead of using the facing included in the instructions. I didn't want to worry about facings wanting to pop out!
I should have made the binding a bit smaller though, so the bodice would fit a bit better.
I removed a lot of sweep of the *very* full skirt.
One of my ties was cut wonky because I wasn't paying enough attention when I laid out my pattern pieces. I had barely enough fabric to cut the second tie, so I cut it on the bias. Bad idea It lays terribly!
I went to two other Fabricville stores looking for more fabric to make another properly made tie but alas, they were both out! Fast-forward months later when I was visiting family in NewBrunswick. Of course I had to visit the local Fabricville and they had some of this same fabric! I bought some and plan to make another tie. I'll make it work!
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I do definitely recommend this pattern. As many other reviewers have attested, this is a very easy pattern that will turn out a great looking dress!
I think I would like to try some other wrap and "faux" wrap patterns that I have in my collection before I would do this one again.
Conclusion: There are so many beautiful versions of this dress! Very easy patten that many women would find flattering.

So I measured the circumference of my dress and it was 71''.
Right front 23", left front 22" (don't know how that happened), back skirt section (left and right side measured together) 25.5".
I measured the pattern pieces and subtracting the finished measurements, I got something like 40" in the difference! I feel like I must have made a mistake somewhere, but hopefully my dress measurements will help somewhat :) 12/7/12 9:31 PM
