Were the instructions easy to follow?
I have previously mentioned that if you have never bought a Colette Pattern I strongly suggest you try one. They are beautifully made and packaged. Its like creating a little story when you use these patterns they are perfect for beginners and the outfits are just adorable! Instructions are so easy to follow and they have pictures and great references the whole way through so you know exactly what you are doing.
Sizing:
These dresses were a size 4. I normally cut a 12 in Vogue/Simplicity etc, so hopefully that's a good indicator. I think because this material was a stretch I had to try it on before I sewed up the side and was able to take it in enough to fit me perfectly.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Well again like always I love everything about this pattern. This dress is so great for summer and has so many nice features. I did my first Colette Macaron dresses as two tone like the pattern picture so I decided for this one to go a little out of the ordinary and do it as a one colour print. I think it turned out pretty awesome!!
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I didn't create the sleeves with the small dip.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes definitely. I am already buying more fabric having this dress in mind its terrible!!
Conclusion:
Every girl needs this dress!!! Buy this pattern if you haven't already!! Put it at the top of your to do list as well!!
