Pattern Description: Fitted knit top features banded hems with sleeve and neckline variations. View A has long sleeves and a scoop neckline. View B has short sleeves and a deep V neckline. View C has a dramatic cowl neckline and three-quarter length sleeves. Mix and match any of the sleeves with any of the neckline options for unlimited possibilities.
I made View C.
Pattern Sizing: 0 thru 16. I made a 4 for all of the top, except the waistline, where I made a 2. My measurements fluctuate somewhat, but at the time of making the top they were: 35 1/2 bust, 27 waist, 36 1/2 hips. I should have made an 8 or 10, going by the pattern envelope. I would check finished garment measurements to choose the correct size. Also, if your knit has a lot of stretch, you may want to go down a size or more. The knit I used has quite a bit of stretch.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, it did!
Were the instructions easy to follow? Absolutely EXCELLENT instructions!!!
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love everything about this pattern. If you want, you can use a serger for entire assembly of the top, and it sews up lightning FAST!
Fabric Used: I am not positive of the fabric, but believe it to be some type of poly/rayon/lycra knit.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: None, except for sewing a smaller size than recommended by the envelope sizing. I also added 1 and 1/2 inches to the length of the body of the top.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? This pattern is one of my new favorites. I LOVE it and plan to sew several more versions. It is a wonderful pattern, and I cannot say enough good things about it. For a beginning sewer, this would be a great pattern to start with for sewing knits.
Conclusion: I have been looking at the Sewaholic patterns for some time. I have SOOOO many patterns in my stash that I felt silly buying yet ANOTHER pattern (actually I bought TWO Sewaholic patterns .... got the Thurlow Trouser pattern, too), especially since the Big Four can be bought on sale for $1.00 each. The Sewaholic patterns are more expensive, but in my opinion they are worth the price. This will be a go to pattern for me for many more versions.

Christa, this is such a nice top really enhanced by the perfect 60-70's type geometric designed fabric. I notice that you lined and squared the design element perfect, which is the key of your high end looking top. The top seems to be such a versatile piece going from dressy to casual wear and that is a plus for the pattern. So glad you are enjoying your new sewing studio and making so many, overly garments.

Such a fab and fun looking top, Christa! Such versatility as you gorgeously modeled it with a skirt or a pair of jeans. Lovely work as always!

I can see why you like this top. The neckline is not too deep, the cowl is a nice amount of drape and the fit is perfect!

You can never have too many patterns, PERIOD. THE BOSS HAS SPOKEN. THAT being said, this is just a DARLING tunic, and I hope you wear it often and DON'T GIVE IT AWAY the first rattle out of the box, as we all KNOW you have a tendency to do. :o) It's a good thing it makes up so quickly, because I suspect MORE will be needed by the little "elves" at your house, once they see yours.
