Pattern Description:
Women's Jackets in three lengths Pattern Sizing:
Women's sizes 6-14 (I made the 6) Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Somewhat, I made a few alterations. Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
The pattern itself is great, pretty easy to follow and most of the views are cute. Unfortunately I was making this for a store display and had to make view E, which I hated. I ended up making several alterations, and plan to make more when it is returned to me. Fabric Used:
I believe it is a woven wool or cotton yarn. I got it from the red tag clearance bin at JoAnn's. It looked and felt like a giant plaid blanket. Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
The sleeves (on views E, B, and D) are 3/4 length, which I didn't understand in a jacket, so I added cuffs to make them wrist length. I also made the jacket waist length (like views C and D) and eliminated the fake pocket flaps. I had to do the fringe, but I'm not a huge fan of it. I think when I get it back I will take off the fringe, add a triangle collar, and add buttons the length of the front. (I have just one button/loop now, which I used instead of a hook and eye since the material was so thick) Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, but I would probably make view B or C. The pattern itself is quite easy and is not a bad project for an intermediate sewer. Conclusion:
This has potential, but be prepared to make some alterations to fit your personal style.

I think your jacket is really cute. So sorry, this is not your style. I think your future changes will look really good too. You will have to post those pics when they are done.

I like the fringe--it's a great trim. At least you get to modify it to your liking later!

Great jacket ! I like 3/4 length sleeves but I like the cuffs you added too. The fabric & the fringe are very appealing.
