Pattern Description: The Wiggle Dress is a retro/vintage style dress with princess seaming, under arm gussets and a v-back.

Pattern Sizing:The sizing in this book is pretty close to RTW

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? yes!

Were the instructions easy to follow? Very. And when I came to the underarm gusset, I used her blog to supplement the instructions. I don't know if this was necessary but I was super intimidated so I was glad to have the extensive instructions from her blog.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I actully loved those gussets! It made for a great fit on the arm and they are quite comfortable. I also loved the princess seeming as the lines made the dress quite elegant.

Fabric Used: This was my wearable muslin so I used inexpensive streach denim that really reads like a dark blue twill.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I adjusted the sizing a bit to fit me. This entailed using a size 6 for the back and a size 8 in the front. I then had to take it in a bit in the hips. Next time I make it, I will need to adjust the hip placement as I am a little too petite for the pattern.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? yes. I have some wool on order and as soon as it is in, I will be making this again.

Conclusion: What I really loved about this dress is that it is simple but with special details. I had to challenge myself a bit as there were some new techniques for me, but that is a lot of the fun. Also, I had people telling me that the dress looked so great and very expensive. I am convinced that it is those small details that gave it the look of expense.
