Pattern Description: A relaxed fit top with different sleeve options.
Pattern Sizing: Pretty true to American pattern makers. I wear a 6 in RTW and a 12/14 in patterns and I made a 14 of this shirt.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? yes. And I sewed two versions and they both were like the pictures
Were the instructions easy to follow? very. I know Vogue has a reputation for unclear instructions, but I had no issues.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I made this for wearing post-partum. So what I really liked about the shirt was that it covered my still ample belly and was easy to nurse in. Stylistically, I really liked the colar on the cuffed sleeve version.
Fabric Used: I selected ultrasuede, but I do not remember exactly. It was a thicker fabric with a slight fuzziness. The second top I made was out of a cotton.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: none
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I would recomend it to others, but I am unsure if I will sew it again. I think two versions of this top may be enough. But, if I come across a fabric that suits it, I may make one more.
Conclusion: This top was easy, comfortable, and the different options provide a nice variety.
I have pictures of both versions on my flickr site. http://www.flickr.com/photos/major_moma/8264192896/in/photostream
Sounds like the perfect top! No wonder you've already made two.
