| Pattern Description: Princess seam top with peplum
Pattern Sizing: Lekala takes your measurement and makes the pattern to size
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? The instructions are pretty bad - think Burda magazine, lol.
Fabric Used: Ponte knit
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:I made it out of a ponte knit instead of a woven so I was able to omit the zipper. I added the midriff band as well.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes I've already sewn it again!
Conclusion: With Lekala you give them your full bust, under bust, waist and hip measurement and the pattern is made to your size. However if you usually need a FBA the pattern will end up too big in the shoulders/armscye (ask me how I know, lol). Next time I'll order by my high bust.
To get this fitting right I had to take it up at the shoulders a fair bit (a combo of using a knit and too big through the shoulders), narrow the shoulders and raise the armholes. I also lowered the neckline.
