Pattern Description: Dress is a fitted, fully lined dress with a gorgeous sweetheart neckline and flattering built-in cap sleeves. I chose View A.
Pattern Sizing: I think I made a 10. My measurements are inbetween sizes and when I looked at the finished measurements, I went with a 10. It is very comfortable.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes I think so
Were the instructions easy to follow? Very easy. I really enjoyed putting this together and have since used the method for putting pockets into View B on many other dresses.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I do find that the front of the armscye cuts into me a little. Also the pockets are not deep enough for my liking. If I were to make it again, I would deepen the pockets.
Fabric Used: Very light cotton
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: At first I was making the View B because I had enough fabric but when I pinned it together I thought I looked like the side of a house. I think I will try it again however, because it might just have been me not used to that look. I'm ususally not a gathered skirt fan. So then I changed and made View A.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes I think I would sew it again but with the armscye being a bit uncomfortable, I would need to do something about that.
Conclusion: This was kind of a wearable muslin because I had loads of this fabric and wanted to try it out. I think the print is a little light and perhaps washes me out a bit.
Very pretty! :)
