Pattern Description: Dress with pleated skirt. I made the longer version with the higher neckline. I felt it suited this heavier fabric better and now I can wear it in winter with a cardigan.

Pattern Sizing: I made a 14 but my measurements are more like a 16.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? No, I don't think so but it does look like the hand drawn picture of View B

Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes. People have commented on the difficulty of the pleats but if you have made a few things, it was really easy. Fiddly, yes, but easy.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like everything about this pattern - what's not to like?

Fabric Used: A heavier cotton drill. Because of the heaviness of this fabric, I only lined the bodice as the pattern suggests.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I added pockets and I used the shorter zipper and back closing like Simplicity 4070 only because I already had bought a 14" zipper in the right colour.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I have and will.

Conclusion: I really love this dress. It's nice enough to wear out to a special occasion, but put flats and a cardi with it and you can go shopping. Very versitile pattern for many different looks.
