Hmm, it is such an interesting concept also, with the bias panels. I wonder if this would be easy to draft from a no-side-seam pattern? It would obviously add seams, but...

I too made this pattern and the crotch is so low it's down to my knees. Gives the loaded diaper look. Not only did I make this I made the Ohara top from CLS, and it too was HUGE. The instructions were difficult to follow on both patterns. I won't make either again. The Sewing Workshop Panel Pants or the Folkware Japanese farmer pants look like good alternatives.
