Pattern Description: Misses' bridal and bridesmaid gown. Simplicity sewing pattern.
Pattern Sizing:
6-22 Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?Yes. Only mine is shorter. I made view C.
Were the instructions easy to follow?Yes. I actually found it relativly easy to make this lined dress. In my opinion this pattern is true to size, I made size 6.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?I totally loved the "empire cut" style under the bust line. The cut in the back is also very nice, very flattering. The only think that I felt the need to edit besides the length was the v cut in the back. I raised it because I wanted it more modest. This worked perfectly, I am happy with the result.
Fabric Used:satin
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:Shortened the skirt, raised the back neck line. Added elastic "shearing" in back neck area. (see my blog http://sewingforfun.wordpress.com/2012/12/16/simplicity-1909-view-c-party-dress/)
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?Yes definetly. I am curently working on chiffon dress.
Conclusion: Fantastic cut. I love it and would definetly recomend it.
