Pattern Description:

4 gore skirt pattern with front and back darts and slight flare near hem. Has center back zipper and waist edge facing. In 2 lengths-with separate pattern pieces for each length

My dress form is too short because of a broken part. This skirt is actually ankle length on me.

Pattern Sizing:

European 36 through 52 (I think). Size 36 is for a 35 1/2 inch hips and 26 inch waist. Based on the hip measurement, I chose size 36. It was true to size.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?

As much as it could after my changes. It does have the same basic shape that makes this pattern great.

Were the instructions easy to follow?

Umm. I didn't actually read them. If I do the pattern with the zipper and facing, I'll look at them. It's a Burda Start pattern, so they are probably detailed.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?

Love the shape--good for those fabrics without much drape. Would be great with boots.

My only dislike is all the petite adjustments I had to make, but that's completely normal for me.

Fabric Used:

Cheetah print knit with a bit of weight. It was feeling like a cotton/poly with maybe lycra. Interlock with some texture. I got it from SewMuchFabric as a door prize for attending a group meeting

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:

Since my fabric is a knit and I refuse to insert zippers into knit fabrics, I changed the waist to a elastic waist with casing. Since I was doing that, I omitted the darts (would have been tough on this fabric anyway).

Added about 5/8 inch to the front waist since I don't have a 26 inch waist. This kept the side seams straight.

Petite adjustments: shortened 2 inches between hips and waist, shortened another 2 inches at knee, and another 1 inch mid-thigh. All completely normal for me.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?

Yes. I'll sew this pattern a lot. It's one of those basics you can make in a variety of fabric without anyone noticing. I do recommend it to others.

Conclusion:

Great pattern. Highly recommend it.

Great pattern! Actually, one of my 2 TNT skirt patterns. :) I haven't tried the long version yet but looking at your skirt, I should give it a try.
