Pattern Description:
Knit knee-length dress with front surplice (mock wrap) neckline, short kimono sleeves and an easily customizable midriff section. The skirt features in-seam pockets and falls in the soft folds of a vintage half-circle skirt. Pattern Sizing:
30-50, with 4 cup size options within each size range Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes Were the instructions easy to follow?
The instructions were well written and pictures were clear. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I loved the sizing options available. Steph has come up with a unique way of tailoring the pattern to fit your body. I also love the design of the pattern, it looks terrific made up in a striped knit fabric. The flared skirt, which is cut on the bias of the knit, is very flattering. Fabric Used:
Rayon elastane knit Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
After testing out the pattern, I ended up going a full size down (35A to 30A). I think perhaps the stretch of the fabric I used was too much as it pulled the bodice too low and requires some negative ease to fit properly.
I will have to do a test again if I use a less stretchy knit another time. I am not sure if I could make this size in a fabric with less stretch. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes and yes. It is easy to sew and when the fit is right, is very flattering. I am super happy with the pattern. Conclusion:
A great first printed pattern from a new pattern line. Flattering and comfortable.
