PDF sewing pattern to make ruffled baby boots.
0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-12 months.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, except that I omitted the ruffle. ;) But she shows alternate views without the ruffle, and mine looked just like those.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
The instructions were pretty easy to follow, and the tutorial contained good pictures to illustrate each step.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I don't remember how I found the listing for this pattern, but I thought it looked good for making baby boots. I wanted something that wasn't frilly and could use fabrics/notions that I keep on hand. This fit the bill.
Cotton woven prints and fleece.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I didn't make any changes at this point.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I have sewn it three times now - I've made all three sizes. My only complaint at the moment is that the largest size is missing some of the marking dots on the pattern. I emailed the designer to let her know, but I thought I'd mention it. You can wing it to figure out roughly where the dots should be, based on the other sizes.
I would recommend it, with the caveat that I have no idea how the sizing runs. Each pair that I made was a gift, so I'm hoping to get feedback from the moms as far as how they fit. If I do, I'll update the review.
With the caveat regarding lack of personal knowledge of the sizing, I really like this pattern. It's only $3.50, which is a plus, and it sews up easily and looks nice. I got good comments from friends that I showed them to, which makes me think these would be great baby shower gifts. ;) I hope that the moms like them!
