Pattern Description:
From envelope: This is a great style of top that will quickly become a staple in your wardrobe and is very EASY to sew! One pattern offers many design options including:
3 different collars offer 4 different looks sleeve options including short, three quarter, and long 2 ruching options for the body Pattern Sizing:
XXS - XL I made the XXS, because as you know (if you've seen my other reviews) I am a fan of the close fit :D and I chose that size over the XS based on the bicep measurement. Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
yes Were the instructions easy to follow?
very - bonus is extra sewing tips along the way What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
1) It's a fast sew
2) extremely well drafted on high quality paper
3) loved the fit through the shoulders, neckline and armhole
4) Did I mention I love the neckline?
5) loved the collar and ruching options Fabric Used:
a sheer poly-rayon mesh knit from FM - it's totally see through in the stripes. This top is self lined front and back. I cut the front and back and when I laid out the lining, I staggered the placement so there was solid fabric behind the sheer stripes. I played around with different lining options, but ended up using the reverse side of the print against the wrong side of the front/back - I liked how the softer look of the print showed through the stripes. I left the sleeves sheer. Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
None! Wait - I made the collar a little shorter as I was short on fabric. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I have a second one cut and ready to sew, and I can see myself making this many times over - this will be my new base T-shirt pattern.
Highly recommend - Conclusion:
To ruch or not to ruch ? That is the question... :D - DH loved this so much before ruching, I left it - the next one I'll ruch.
I had to think long and hard about buying another top pattern - especially since if I don't think I'm the Queen of the .99 cent pattern, I'm certainly in the running for Princess! I'm in several of Angela's PR classes (love them all!) and kept seeing her wear this top - so I took a chance. Is it worth the price? IMHO - yes - there is a real difference to the shaping in the neck/shoulder area. Everything lines up the way it should. I am very happy with my investment in this pattern!

Like you, I've been so impressed with Angela Wolfe's online pants fitting class on PR, that I had to order her tee shirt pattern. I can't wait to receive the pattern because based on how beautifully your tee shirt turned out, I'm sure it's going to be my new base tee shirt pattern, too. Thank you so much for your very helpful review. Nancy 12/18/12 7:10 PM

I made the XS, did the petite adjustment, shortened the hem and raised the neckline, but did no other adjustments and it fit so beautifully, it's my new TNT! So if you're sitting on the fence about this pattern, I say go for it! 12/29/12 5:46 PM
