Pattern Description: Coordinates for babies and toddlers with short and long sleeved peasant blouses, cargo pants, capris and wrap jacket.
Pattern Sizing: 6 month to 3 years. All sizes are included. For this second version, I used the 9 months sized top.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, pretty close.
Were the instructions easy to follow? This is labeled EASY, but I think it assumes you have been sewing quite a bit and does not give enough pictures and directions to be considered EASY.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I thought the designs were trendy.
Fabric Used: corduroy, lined in quilting cotton, trimmed in rick rack and ribbon.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I lined the bodice with a cute polka dot cotton rather than finish the edges with bias tape; it makes for a very clean finish. I added a third button and used ribbon to make the button loops. click here I added gathering to the sleeve tops because in a woven fabric there wasn't enough stretch to make them fit nicely; I didn't need them with the knit version I made earlier. I also trimmed the front bodice seam with rick rack to match the rick rack on the neck and sleeves. I did not trim the bottom because I found some cute red and white striped leggings at Baby Gap that made it unnecessary.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? This is the third top I have made and I would probably use it again.
Conclusion: I really like this top and I think it lends itself to all sorts of design interpretations.
Update: Here is photo of granddaughter in Christmas dress.
