Pattern Description: Girl's blouse and skirt. Tunic length, A-line blouse features neckband ties, gathered front with applied patch, and button back, and options for long and short sleeves. Pleated skirt has hidden snaps at side placket, button-loop closure on waistband and elasticized back waistband.
Pattern Sizing: 4-8, I made the 8.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow? The instructions were perfect, well written, good illustrations and very good sewing techniques. I have never used one of these before, AND it was a digital download, but even that was simple and well marked. For instance, I made the pleated skirt, and I have done pleats before, but this was the easiest marking and construction I have ever done. Although it said to mark the pleats, there was a notch at the top of every line, so I got by without chalk markings. The placket is so neat and it and the waistband went together without a hitch. click here
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I guess I answered that above, but really well thought out construction techniques and clear instructions made this a dream. I decided to download the pattern in the morning and had a completed skirt by suppertime, with no redo's.
Fabric Used: babywale corduroy from Farmhouse Fabrics.com.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I added 1.25 inches in length because my DGD is tall and I used a decorative machine stitch to attach the hem. click here It is hard to see because it is black, but I used a covered button at the waist. click here
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, I highly recommend this pattern and will make the blouse in the future. I will buy other patterns from this company; they are very well done.
Conclusion: If I had had the luxury of time, I would still rather buy the paper pattern, but considering the convenience, the digital was not too time consuming, so don't hesitate to try one if you get in a time crunch. I paired it with a purchased sweater for the outfit. I will post a picture with a model after Christmas!

I love the decorative stitch you used at the hem, what a sweet touch. And I'm glad you enjoyed the pattern--I fell in love with Oliver + S patterns after the first time I used one, I loved how well done they were.
