I am working my way through the book "Pattern Magic Stretch Fabrics". Because Pattern Review doesn't have any pictures of the patterns in this book I have put many pictures of both the finished garment and the pattern on my BLOG PEG'S BLOG I've decided to make the next few patterns from this book out of holiday-colored knits. Even if they don't turn out "party-worthy" I can wear them around the house and feel festive. This one in particular turned out to be very comfortable and all the layers feel good when I"m in my basement sewing room!
This pattern is called "FULL MOON" and is made from 2 giant circles. There are holes placed asymmetrically for the head, arms and body. It was fun to make and can be twisted around for several different looks. I'm anxious to make more items from this book as they are so fun to attempt. |
Very interesting Peg! I just love the idea and the draping is lovely. I have learnt so much using Japanese patterns and I think Western designers are being influenced too. Some of the Halston dresses have echos of 'Drape Drape'.
