Pattern Description:
Infinity scarf for sweater knits
Pattern Sizing:
The pattern is one size but you can easily adjust the width and length. I followed the pattern in the fall 2010 Sew Stylish magazine, but the pattern is also on the Craft Stylish webpage Web instructions for scarf
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes! I love this pattern so much that I have made three versions so far. Version 1
Version 2
Version 3
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes! The part where you sew the ends together is a bit harder to follow but the website does provide some guidance.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Do you need a quick gift for someone? Do you have 30 minutes and some sweater knit fabric? If so, this is the pattern for you!
Fabric Used:
Version 1 is made with a wool Missoni Sweater Knit from Gorgeous Fabrics. Version 2 is made from some vintage wool plaid from my grandmother's stash. Version 3 is made with a poly blend knit from Hancocks.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
None
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Probably so!
Conclusion:
I made two of the Missoni knit scarfs, one for myself and one as a gift for my sister (my photo model). She really loves the scarf and has received many compliments. She even wore it during a recent skiing trip to Aspen. I prefer a wool or wool blend knit for warmth. |
Beautiful scarves! :) I'm not sure, what does the ": 1" stand for (company name)?
