THIS IS WORK IN PROGRESS FOR THE OPML CONTEST
Pattern Description:
from the simplicity website: ''jacket in two different lengths, either fastened with a small ribbon or with button and loop.'' (view A and B)
I plan to sew view A but with long sleeves and a different closure (= no ribbons at the neckline but perhaps at the waist and/or hook and eye).
Pattern Sizing:
German sizes 32-46 (American sizes 6-20)
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? To be judged upon once finalized.
Were the instructions easy to follow? To be judged upon once finalized.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Cute little Chanel-type jacket with minimal seams or darts - perfect for either patterned fabric and/or quickly whipping up a jacket
Fabric Used:
for the muslin: unbleached cotton ''Bomull'' from IKEA
planned for contest entries:
A black/white knit (blend of polysomething and wool)
B black/white houndstooth (old jacket) and black velvet (remnant)
C seagreen/turquoise wool (woven)
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I'm currently fiddling with the bodice of the muslin.
Changes so far:
- shoulder seams to accommodate for sloping shoulders
- added to side seams and took in at CB seam
I still need to address some further diagonal wrinkles from bust point to side seams at waist level before I can move to the sleeves.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? To be judged upon once finalized.
Conclusion: To be judged upon once finalized.

Once you get the fit to your liking, I bet this pattern will become a real wardrobe workhorse. Enjoy the contest!
