Pattern Description:
From their web site: "Leggings, stirrup tights and mini-skirt that are great for layering... Leggings and tights have and encased elastic waist and the self-lined mini-skirt (no hemming) has an exposed elastic waist for minimal bulk (since it is designed to be worn underneath longer tops)."

Pattern Sizing:
The pattern has 27 sizes, from age 2 (waist, 20 inches) to US women's 22 (waist, 44 inches). Grab yourself some tracing paper, you'll want to use this pattern again and again for a growing child (and maybe for yourself!).

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes

Were the instructions easy to follow?
The instructions are minimal, but how much explanation do you need with a single pattern piece and a foldover casing?

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Likes: The pattern was quick to put together and resulted in leggings that look very much like RTW. With a nice enough cotton/lycra fabric, I bet I could sew ones that rival the $20 Hanna Andersson leggings that we love, but for (hopefully?) less cost. The pattern paper is heavy and the lines, although very close together, are reasonably easy to see for tracing.

Dislikes: The recommended sizing seemed way off for my child. Per her measurements, she is a size I but tall, so I lengthened the legs. Unfortunately, it fit her like a sausage skin (tight enough to look inappropriate, not to mention uncomfortable). For the next pair, I measured a pair of favorite leggings at the widest part of the thigh (right below the crotch point) and at the inseam. The closest match was a size M, and I sewed them up with no modifications. In the second iteration, the legs were the right length, the ease was appropriate, and she felt comfortable.

Fabric Used:
Cotton-lycra jersey from Girl Charlee (who says in turn that the fabric is from the RTW line Fresh Produce). This is a lighter weight fabric, maybe better suited for tops and dresses - but it was on hand, had the requisite stretch, and I wanted to muslin the pattern before getting nicer fabric.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
For the second pair that fits her perfectly, I made no changes.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I will sew it again, now that we have the sizes nailed. And I do recommend it. I hope to make a pair for myself someday, too.

Conclusion:
This is a simple leggings pattern that works up quickly and with great RTW-like results. If possible, measure some existing leggings and find the pattern size that is closest, rather than going by the measurement chart on the pattern.

I have found with Jalie I have to measure to how I want the fit, not a tight accurate measurement. Nice review, glad you have the fit worked out now.
