Pattern Sizing: Pattern comes in 12-24, I made mine way smaller than a 12
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Sort of. I left off the sleeves
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? The asymetrical collar
Fabric Used: Cotton homedec from IKEA
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: This pattern was huge! So I folded out a total of 4 inches from the size 12 ( I normally use a 14 and do an FBA). I added a diagonal dart from below the bust toward the hip. I was able to remove the gaping at the front armhole by closing a dart there and rotating the difference into the lower dart. I left off the sleeves and used a bias binding on the armholes. I incorporated the buttonhole into the collar seam.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes. And yes, but be mindful of enormous amount of ease in this pattern.
Conclusion: This vest was made with one of my most precious fabrics from my stash and I'm super happy with how it turned out. I am so glad I read the other reviews about this pattern!!
