Pattern Description:
A reversible half apron, above-knee length, with optional ruffle at hem.

Pattern Sizing:
The tutorial includes sizing for an apron that I would personally estimate to be a Small/Medium size. It is EASY to adjust the rectangular apron pieces to scale up or even down, for a child or for petite sizing.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, it looked like the sample photo shown on the blog post's tutorial.

Were the instructions easy to follow?
They were easy to follow, straight forward and clear. For an *absolute, just-beginning beginner* however, a sewing reference book might be helpful to have on hand.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
This is a simple pattern to create gifts quickly, in an hour, give or take. It's absolutely darling and has so many seasonal and holiday variations.

Fabric Used:
I used a cotton/poly blend of two complementary Christmas prints.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I added two bias-bound pockets on the front, using pocket pattern piece "A" from Simplicity 2050, which is a rounded pocket.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Absolutely! I have TONS of gift ideas for this pattern.

Conclusion:
This is an adorable and QUICK and EASY half apron to stitch up in an hour! It has so many possible variations - - ruffles, eyelet, lace, rickrack, pockets, applique, for all kinds of holidays and seasons, or using a fabric that represents a gift recipient's hobby or interest. Because it uses so little fabric, it is also inexpensive. Imagine, it could even be a stash-buster if it was made in a patchwork variation.
