This pattern is labeled "EASY", but it is not. I can't see a beginner using it without a lot of confusion, but I could be wrong. The pleats are an inch wide after folded and are inverted. It is hard to mark them and hard to sew them because the two center ones meet at the middle.
The facing at the top of the pleats is a little odd. I did it differently in that I sewed just the front of the facing on, and then later sewed the back of it on. Clear as mud? The rounded piece at the top that is sewn to the pleats, shoulders and back is a "facing". You cut TWO fronts and TWO backs. Therefore the FACING has a FACING. The directions say to sew the facings together at the upper seam BEFORE sewing the part on that joins to the blouse. I didn't do that. I sewed on one front and back facing to the blouse and then I attached the other front/back facings at the top seam. Then I folded them back behind and finished them. Hope that makes sense. Hard to explain.
I really like this blouse. I think the armhole is a bit low. I would show it to you if I could figure out how to put a picture here. Also, the pattern doesn't allow for a hem "fix" in order for the sleeve hem to fold up and lie even. I will change that if I sew it again.

It is a really cute blouse. Oh! One other thing I did was sew the pleats from the hem up to the waist on the inside. I did not like the way they ballooned out when left open all the way.
