Pattern Description: A simple pattern for a capacious bag, with endless design variations. Can be made with or without hardware.

Pattern Sizing: Large bag

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes!

Were the instructions easy to follow? Very. You Sew Girl instructions are highly detailed and very encouraging for beginners (not that I'm a beginner). The instruction booklet is huge, and includes steps for whatever design variations you want to use.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? It's a basic level pattern with a few variations that involve intermediate skills, so it's suitable for any ability level. It was a great chill-out project during the holidays when I didn't want something too challenging, but still wanted a professional result.

Fabric Used: Cotton drill outer, medium weight woven interfacing, quilting cotton lining.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I did external pockets, overlaid straps, zip gusset and internal zipped pocket.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? This is going to be my gift pattern for 2013 - everyone I give a birthday present to will be getting one of these bags. Can't wait!

Conclusion: A highly satisfying project with a fabulous result.
