Pattern Description: Pattern for children costume of Disney Fairies
Pattern Sizing:1/2 - 4, I cut 4. I made version A (Tinkerbell)
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?yes, very similar
Were the instructions easy to follow?Yes, they were OK
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? It's funny costume for a girl.
Fabric Used:Polyester satin in two shades of green, chiffon and tulle for underskirt
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: For tulle underskirt I used only 1 layer of fabric. I inserted invisible zipper into back bodice. I did'n have enough determination to sew wings, so I bought RTW wings in on-line shop. I think they match perfetctly Wings
I changed closure for the belt for snaps. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?I recomend this pattern, if you want to make a little girl happy. But bear in mind, that it is time consuming and can't be sewn overnight.
Conclusion: The costume was a present for my niece. The pattern does not require high sewing skills, but it is time consuming. You need to sew 3 skirts from different fabrics. But at the end of the day you will have nice costume.
This is so sweet..... You see in her eyes how glad she is... Wonderful
