Pattern Description:
This pattern pack has Nighty in two styles, top and PJ pants, short PJ pant option and a robe. Designed for wovens.
Pattern Sizing:
My pack was size Z, for L and XL but it comes in smaller sizes too
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Not much, because I altered the length of the sleeves and the nighty to work with the fabric length of cotton voile I had, but the neckline is the same
The sleeves come to my elbow and the length is just about knee length.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes but I didn't follow their seam finishing options or the neckline finish options.
I French seamed everything but hems and the neck facing. I had pressed the outer neck facing edge under by 1/4 inch, and sewn in place before sewing the facing as usual to the garment. I stitched again along the facing outer edge stitch line from the wrong side to hold it in place. No annoying facing flapping around and neckline is nicely supported for wearing. Its well drafted
so you can get away with doing this from the wrong side and not have a puckered mess if your machine behaves itself on fine fabric. Otherwise you could baste from the wrong side, and sew from the right side along the basting line to position the stitching correctly. Or if you can handle a facing that flaps around a little, catch it on the shoulder seams.
Hems were turned up twice and sewn.
The finished French seam is 6mm wide and the finish on the inside of the nighty is deliciously smooth to wear! Its slower than overlocking, but the finish is much nicer. It feels rather lux to wear.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
It has a nice amount of ease, For summer I like sleepwear with plenty of ease for coolness and a style that is not sexy as we have young children. The neckline isn't too low. And its very comfortable as the shoulder area is quite boxy, plenty of movement.
Fabric Used:
Cotton voile from the sale bin at Lincraft, an Aussie chain store. It cost maybe $4 a metre? A good find.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Lengthened the pattern to just about knee level.
Lengthened the short sleeve to elbow length.
Added half an inch to both side seams and tapered to nothing at the underam, front and back so to eliminate a side split and not lose some movement.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
This is the third time I have made this pattern, I've made it in a longer version of the top, and another knee length one years ago. Its easy to cut, easy to sew, and extremely comfortable to wear. So I'm likely to keep making it again and again.
Conclusion:
Highly recommend this pattern.

I just saw the fabric, felt how soft it was and it screamed sleep wear to me. Or a pretty dress if it were lined.
