Pattern Description: A-line, semi-fitted, lined jacket has princess seams, above waistline seam, shawl collar, tucks at lower edge, front and back snap closing, bell sleeves. Loose-fitting, lined, darted pants, have detailed side front seams (forming flange), back ties and and invisible zipper. I made the pants.
Pattern Sizing: 8-22
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, except I eliminated the bow.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, although you have to have faith that they will come together!
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I LOVE this pattern (unfortunately OOP) and have made them before. They are great fun to wear. They are very "fabric-dependent" and look different in different fabrics.
Fabric Used: A silky-like, crinkled light weight taffeta from Marcy Tilton. It features black woven squares on a silvery-gray background.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: Other than elimination the bow, I made them exactly as called for.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes and yes!
