Pattern Description: Bell-shaped skirt, low-rise with broad yoke. A is short with loops and tie belt. B is knee-length, sweeping.
Pattern Sizing:8-20 US (34-46 European size)
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow?Relatively.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like the wide yoke. The skirt is very flowy for its length (I sewed the longer one, View B). I find that I don't want to wear it without leggings underneath in case a breeze kicks up. Unfortunately it's not lined however, so the skirt sticks to my leggings when I wear it. I may attach a lining since this prevents me from wearing it much.
Fabric Used: Bottom weight purple cotton
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I added a decorative stitch at the hem that I found in a magazine: wrap 1/4" ribbon around the bobbin and sew around the hem from the wrong side. (pic here)
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I would recommend this to beginners because of how fast and easy it can be made up.
Conclusion: It's a good pattern. Easy to make and great to add to your wardrobe.
