Pattern Description: Circular skirts fit slightly below waist , have fitted yoke and side zipper.
Pattern Sizing:XS to Xl .
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?Yes it really did.
Were the instructions easy to follow? The instructions are excellent with good diagrams to compliment them . I would not change anything about the construction .
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? My daughter picked out this skirt . SHe liked the yoke which was not too wide and the swishy skirt . I like the variation with the contrast fabric as well .
Fabric Used:Japanese cotton lawn from Spotlight . This feels quite soft and smooth and has a liberty look and feel about it as well . Although not as nice as liberty it is much cheaper.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:I added a lining of cotton voile and also added in some ready made piping to the yoke. The piping shows up the yoke better which is lost with the floral ( and rabbit ) print .
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? This is the second time this pattern has been sewn here already. It is quite possible I will sew it again because my youngest daughter also liked the skirt.
Conclusion: This is a really easy pattern. There are only two pattern pieces ! The yoke piece is cut out four times ( front , back and the lining pieces ) and the skirt is cut out twice. The instructions are excellent so this pattern is really good for sewers of all experience. In addition because I used cotton this skirt was simple. Previously my eldest daughter has made this skirt - SHe has very little sewing experience and I barely helped her at all . Her finished skirt was really good and she wears it when going out which is another endorsement of a successful project. I would highly recommend this pattern.
