Pattern Description:
Chemise - the bust section can be flattering gathered by a drawstring.
Pattern Sizing:
Burda 36 through 44. I made the size 38 which corresponds to my bust size.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
The instructions for 133 overlap with 134 which is the sewing course, so the instructions are more detailed than the usual burda instructions and they have diagrams.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Pretty style with nice details like the gathered drawstring and the lace.
Fabric Used:
Silk jersey and stretch lace.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I did not cut the pattern out on the bias as I used the stretch jersey.
I also used the strap detail from version 134 with rings and sliders rather than use purchased bra straps.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I would sew it again. I would like to try it in a different fabric. Mine is loose around the back bodice and that makes it comfortable but the soft silk jersey sort-of flops a bit.
Conclusion:
A fair amount of work particularly in a fun to sew fabric like silk jersey, but well worth the effort.

Very lovely result and I am sure that luscious fabric was a challenge to sew!

This is lovely Sue... it is such a pretty colour. And silk breathes in the heat we are having.
