Pattern Description:
Print-at-home. No physical version I could find. Maybe some stores have it. Pattern Sizing:
Worked for me, I lengthened it slightly because I'm tall and thin. Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, the first time when I didn't modify it and used similar cloth. Were the instructions easy to follow?
Not really, but about normal for Burda. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
It's pretty much the only men's jacket pattern out there that isn't a sport coat. Fabric Used:
Denim, then white leather, then brown leather. Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I made the collar a standing one instead of folding. Took in the sides a bit. The third time I made it I removed the upper pockets. Added some design to the front. Made it out of leather.
The third time I made it I also added a lining to the body and the sleeves. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Might sew it again, since there aren't any other options. Conclusion:
Looks good with some modifications. More photos of my 3rd attempt here made from brown leather, with linings added (not included in the pattern).
Wow that is a beautiful jacket.
