Pattern Description:
Aprons
I made view 1/2. See my blog for more pictures and notes.
Pattern Sizing:
SML
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I liked that it was a simple, classic, BBQ style apron. I like that the waist tie is long enough to wrap it around the waist for a more fitted look.
I did not like that the different views were numbered and the pattern pieces were lettered. I'm used to it being the other way around. The technical drawing on the pattern instructions is one of the worst I've ever seen.
Fabric Used:
quilting cotton
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
View 2 looked really short based on the picture on the front of the pattern envelope, so I used the view 1 length, but view 2 pockets.
I made my own bias tape for the edges in the same fabric as the pockets. If I had to do it over again, I would have used 1" bias tape instead of 1/2"
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes. It's an easy pattern, and came out like I expected.
Conclusion:
This is an easy and classic apron design that comes together very quickly. The most "fiddly" part of the construction was the bias tape.
