| | I used several different dyi pinch pleated drapes tutorial from the internet to understand how professional drapes are constructed. They turned out excellent especially for my first curtains. I used a out home decor fabric, double napped interlining and drapery lining for the backside. I ended up doing 3 inch side seams - double folded down to 1.5" double fold top hem with pleating tape and a single fold bottom hem. The drapery lining is a double fold blind hem as well. I did purchase a portable blind hem machine (consew 75t - which I will review at a later time when I've put it to good use) because my domestic machine was puckering the drapery lining. I love how they turned out! |
