Pattern Description: Amazing Fit Top with Princess seams and collar variations.
Pattern Sizing: 6-22
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like the shaping with the princess seams and back vertical darts
Fabric Used: Cheapo fabric labeled "content unknown" from Walmart, as this was just a muslin for checking the pattern fit. I did the "burn" test, and it burned like a nylon.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: Cut a size 6 at the shoulder, size 8 at the underarm and a 12 at the hip. Shortened the waist by 7/8" and the hem by 1 1/2". Ended up taking the garmet in 1 3/4" at the hemline, tapering to 1 1/2" in at the waist and then tapering in to 1" at the armscyes.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes & Yes.
Conclusion: I would cut the collar smaller, and make out of a fabric with better drape next time, but as I said, this was just a muslin for fitting. It actually looks more like a jacket than a blouse, probably due to both the stiffer fabric as well as the sleeves not having a cuff.

Jstarr4250 said... I just pulled this pattern out Saturday and considered it for some crepe in my stash. One thought regarding the collar seeming too large...it looks like the top button is a bit higher on the pattern photo as compared to yours. Do you think that would serve to make the collar appear a bit smaller? Thanks for your review as the timing of it is perfect! 1/3/13 7:35 AM
Lori9999 said... Thanks everyone for your kind comments. Jstarr4250, I don't really think the button placement would make a difference. My top button is below my bust apex, but putting it higher, caused the bust area to pull slightly. Any area which I guess needs more tweaking. 1/3/13 1:00 PM

Your muslin looks pretty darn good with your adjustments. 1/3/13 1:17 PM
