Pattern Description: Knit tops with princess seams and stitched hems. A: sleeveless armholes with bias tape finish. B: cowl collar neckline with below elbow length sleeves. C: scoop neckline with bias tape finish.
Pattern Sizing: BB(8-10-12-14), FF(16-18-20-22). I made a size 12, View A, with the sleeves from View C.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? It did!
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yep.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love the princess seams and the fit of the bodice. The neckline is flattering and looks great on its own or under a jacket. No dislikes.
Fabric Used: Jersey from Fabricmartfabrics.com.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I added two inches to the length of the sleeves. I made ½ inch hems (sleeves and bodice) instead of the suggested 1-1/4 inch hems. All seams were sewn first on my machine (narrow zigzag stitch) and then the seam allowances were trimmed and finished on the serger. The sleeves were sewn in flat. I also used my coverstitch to finish the hems.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, I have another one cut out and ready to sew!
Conclusion: I like this pattern very much. It is well-drafted, and a nice change to my more basic knit tops. The collar gives it a bit more pizzazz, and the princess seams add nice shaping. Fantastic outfit - you look amazing in it. I like the high crossover on this pattern...no constant tugging and rearranging to keep it from gaping open. Love your boots, too.
