Pattern Description:
Historical Clothing for 18-inch Dolls
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
It was easy!
Fabric Used:
I used linen for the doll "pajamas" or underwear, whatever you want to consider them. I used cotton for the skirt and blouse.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I sewed hems in the pants and sleeves and added the trim before sewing the main seams of those pieces together. It would be too hard to sew hems on such tiny openings. I don't remember if the pattern said to hem beforehand, but I don't think it did.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes. I want to make the hooded cape and another dress.
Conclusion:
This pattern is easy to follow and helps use up all those remnants that are taking up space in your sewing area.
