| Pattern Description: Misses' Dress or Jumper with skirt variations in three lengths.
Pattern Sizing: H5 [6, 8, 10, 12, 14] I used a size 12.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes I suppose so, although the silhouette of the back skirt was no exactly what I was expecting. I thought this dress would be more 1950s full, but a crinoline would NOT work under this dress as drafted.
Were the instructions easy to follow? This is a pretty basic dress, with the addition of quite a few darts along the midsection (especially when you count the lining!). There really is nothing unexpected or difficult about the instructions.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? This is a retro pattern, so chances are I am going to like it. However, the back skirt was not as full as I was expecting. But you can't win them all!
Fabric Used:
*Cotton Twill stretch
*Bemberg lining
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: No significant alterations were made.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I am probably going to let this one go. It is not terrible, but I am not that excited about the finished product, and there are much more flattering patterns out there. I suppose it is a relief that a pattern can be put to rest when there are so many others clamoring for my attention!
Conclusion: While this may not be my favorite dress, it does come in handy every once in a while.

That dress fits you perfectly and that blouse is to die for. The blouse and the dress really compliment each other and you wear them so well.
