Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes. I made the vest only.
Were the instructions easy to follow? As with all Burda patterns, instructions are brief. You need to have basic knowledge of how to construct garments. If so, instructions are straight forward.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love this vest. It is unique and has a modern flair. It is a statement piece but still simple to sew.
Fabric Used: An inexpensive polyester garbardine type.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: None. Sewed straight size 14; my usual from pattern companies.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I might sew the dress in the future. I would not sew the vest again because you only need one of these. It is a unique piece. I plan to wear it with slacks and a long sleeve shirt (button up, knit pullover, or even turtle neck). This is an unlined vest, so I serged all the seams. I like a RTW look. I do recommend it because it is a statement piece which is easy enough to sew. I finished it in a day and I'm a very slow sewer (like to sew in 20 min bursts). A concentrated sewer could finish this vest in 2-3 hours.
Conclusion: This is a good pattern. Other than lacking detailed instructions, I've never had a complaint about a Burda pattern. Pictures of this garment can be found at http://sewnovice.shutterfly.com/pictures
