Pattern Description: Close fitting, pullover tops in two lengths with short, 3/4 or long sleeves. I turned it into a mini dress.
Pattern Sizing: Small-XLarge. I cut between a medium and large but ended up grading it down to a medium.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Similar, but I made changes intentionally.
Were the instructions easy to follow? They are easy to follow if needed but I didn't use them.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love that it's a basic to go back to when you want a cold weather top or casual dress in this case. This is the second time I made this pattern. The first time wasn't really altered.
Fabric Used: 100% cotton knit.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
-I made the front one piece instead of 2 separate pieces.
-I went in on the seams a fair amount to fit better from a m/l to a med.
-I cut the back piece vertically into two so I could fit it better in my swayback area, avoiding the rumpled fabric mess that can happen there.
-I extended the hem to make a mini dress. I measured about 20" from the waistline and cut the fabric there.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I may or may not. This is the 2nd time I did already. Maybe next year. I recommend this one highly. It's a breeze to work with especially when using a serger.
Very nice and comfy dress. I am re discovering knits, and do love sewing with them. Nice job!
