Pattern Description: The Alma Blouse is a feminine, semi-fitted blouse with neckline and sleeve variations. Darts create a fitted silhouette without being too tight, with an optional tie belt to cinch the waistline. The Alma Blouse closes at the side with an invisible zipper.
Pattern Sizing: 0-16, I made View A with the short sleeves.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes it did, except mine is a plain fabric.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes they were.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I loved the notched neckline.
Fabric Used: Polyester Crepe that I purchased from Kerryn's Fabric World in 2003.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: This is a bit hard to say, as I used my very modified TNT Blouse V8572(OOP) that has similar lines and then I copied the neckline from View A as well as making the facings.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes I can see it being made again, I would love to do the capped sleeves and have the tie belt. Definitely recommend it to others.
Conclusion: The style lines of this blouse are perfect for me and I love all the ways you can make it look different.
Thanks for the review! Did you happen to narrow the neckline width a little bit?
