Pattern Description: Girls' Dress and Cummerbund

Pattern Sizing: (2-5) (6-8)

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, with some modifications

Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? It's absolutely gorgeous! I do wish they'd had an option for sleeves, but was able to add the sleeves from a different pattern.

Fabric Used: Casa Collection Crepe from JoAnn's, and lace on the tiers.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: Added sleeves from Simplicity pattern 5834 and removed bottom layer of ruffle per other peoples' recommendations. Also on the tiers instead of hemming them as called for in the pattern, I did a second layer of lace, and sewed the crepe and lace together on the bottom.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Definitely, on both.

Conclusion: I made this for my daughter's baptism, and it is an absolutely beautiful dress. As an added bonus, it was a lot easier to sew than I had anticipated. I would (and have) definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to make an incredible impression. I'm very glad I chose to not do the bottom ruffle, because the length was perfect for my daughter without it. It would have been dragging on the ground if I'd put it on.
